Agenda

Our business meetings follow a formal structure, led by the Grand Knight, and adhere to rules and procedures. Expect an orderly discussion of council matters, financial reports, and updates on ongoing initiatives. Members are welcome to contribute to the talks respectfully and vote on critical decisions.

Social Meetings

4th Mondays 7:30 PM – 10 PM

Drinks and light refreshments are served.

Your presence and participation in our council’s social meetings are highly valued! These gatherings strengthen our fraternal bonds and provide an opportunity for us to get to know one another better. We look forward to seeing you and your loved ones at our next social meeting!

Open to Family & Friends

All current members of our council and their families are welcome to join our social meetings. Feel free to bring your spouse, children, and other close relatives to share in the camaraderie and fun.

Casual

Social meetings have a more casual dress code. Feel free to dress comfortably while maintaining a neat appearance. However, if the social meeting has a specific theme or takes place at a venue with a particular dress code, we will inform you beforehand so you can plan accordingly.

No Agenda

Our social meetings are designed to foster a sense of brotherhood and community within our council. Expect a relaxed atmosphere filled with engaging conversations, laughter, and enjoyable activities. We may have guest speakers or themed events.

Parish

Operating within the rich tapestry of St. Jerome Catholic Parish’s spiritual and social life, Council #5564 exemplifies the Knights of Columbus’s dedication to faith, community betterment, and mutual support. This council’s work in Hyattsville, MD, underscores the global Knights of Columbus’s testament to growth and enduring service, flourishing in unity and commitment towards making tangible differences in their communities.

Charity

Demonstrating unwavering commitment to charitable actions, the St. Jerome Council #5564 actively engages in initiatives aimed at supporting those in need. Notably, the council has been involved in preparing snack bags for homeless men in Washington, DC, showcasing a direct, impactful way to offer assistance and care to the less fortunate, a reflection of the Knights’ foundational pillar of Charity.

Unity

The Council fosters a strong sense of Unity by rallying together Catholic men in the practice of their faith and service. The economic environment of individualism and competition is counteracted by the Knights of Columbus’s spirit of communal support and shared values, as highlighted by the activities and ethos at St. Jerome Catholic Parish.

Fraternity

The bonds of Fraternity within Council #5564 are strengthened not only through their shared missions and service activities but also through regular meetings and social gatherings. With a schedule that includes Council Business Meetings on the 2nd Monday and Program, as well as Social Meetings on the 4th Monday of the month at St. Jerome’s Church, members have ample opportunities to connect, plan, and reinforce their fraternal bonds.
