Serving our Parish with Charity, Unity, Fraternity.

Parish

Operating within the rich tapestry of St. Jerome Catholic Parish’s spiritual and social life, Council #5564 exemplifies the Knights of Columbus’s dedication to faith, community betterment, and mutual support. This council’s work in Hyattsville, MD, underscores the global Knights of Columbus’s testament to growth and enduring service, flourishing in unity and commitment towards making tangible differences in their communities.

Charity

Demonstrating unwavering commitment to charitable actions, the St. Jerome Council #5564 actively engages in initiatives aimed at supporting those in need. Notably, the council has been involved in preparing snack bags for homeless men in Washington, DC, showcasing a direct, impactful way to offer assistance and care to the less fortunate, a reflection of the Knights’ foundational pillar of Charity.

Unity

The Council fosters a strong sense of Unity by rallying together Catholic men in the practice of their faith and service. The economic environment of individualism and competition is counteracted by the Knights of Columbus’s spirit of communal support and shared values, as highlighted by the activities and ethos at St. Jerome Catholic Parish.

Fraternity

The bonds of Fraternity within Council #5564 are strengthened not only through their shared missions and service activities but also through regular meetings and social gatherings. With a schedule that includes Council Business Meetings on the 2nd Monday and Program, as well as Social Meetings on the 4th Monday of the month at St. Jerome’s Church, members have ample opportunities to connect, plan, and reinforce their fraternal bonds.
